CAL GRANT-FINANCIAL AID
A Cal Grant is money for college from the State of California that you don't have to pay back. To qualify, you must apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the deadline (March 2, 2022) and meet the eligibility and financial requirement as well as any minimum GPA requirements.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE
- Must be 18 years of age or have a high school diploma
- A-G requirements not required
- SAT/ACT scores not required
- Can transfer to a 4 year university
- For priority admissions: Los Rios 2/1/22
- Must take English & Math course placement exams
- Complete online or live orientation
- Admissions: Sierra College - Sept./Oct. (see website)
- Meet with counselor
- Transfer program to a CSU/UC
Note: students interested in attending college while in high school need a 2.7 GPA. See a counselor.
